Senior High Historical Sites Tour

Service Description

Join Directors Colleen Savage and Joel Trinkle and our staff of Krista Binnicker, Alan Savage, and Mark Davenport on a week-long Historical Sites Tour to the eastern United States! We will begin on August 3 in two locations - in Madison, WI and Apple Valley, MN - whichever is most convenient for you. From there, our two 12-person vans will head south to Nauvoo. From Nauvoo to Chicago and then east to Kirtland, OH and Palmyra, NY. Do you like roller coasters or rides that spin in circles! Cedar Point amusement park is on the list! How about waterfalls, because a trip to Niagara Falls is scheduled as well! We will also take a ferry across Lake Michigan in our return home on August 10, with the Twin Cities group returning home on August 11. While on the way we will share the sacred stories of the Community of Christ and how these journeys continue to shape our beliefs and serving the mission of Jesus Christ. The registration deadline for this trip is May 15, 2024. Note that we will have three virtual planning sessions leading up to the trip. Our first of the three planning sessions together will be on May 21, 2024 at 7:30pm Central over Zoom. Apostle Robin Linkhart will join us for this session!
